Your Next Journey Starts With a Single Step

Have you ever felt that something in your life just isn't working, even when everything looks fine on the surface?

Perhaps you're navigating a significant life change—divorce, career transition, new parenthood—or maybe you simply sense there's something more meaningful waiting for you just beyond reach.

Many of us find ourselves cycling through the same patterns. Communication breakdowns that leave us feeling misunderstood, decisions that never quite align with our deeper values, bad habits we just can’t shake, or relationships that feel incomplete despite our best efforts. We try various solutions—books, podcasts, advice from friends—yet the real transformation we seek remains elusive.

Your transformation is here - within one weekend, you’ll be on your way to breaking the cycles, finding your answers, and catching your breath from the whirlwind around you.

  • All topics are presented using a mix of adult learning styles. Each topic is explored through experiential lectures, small group work, one-on-one and group discussions, and hands-on activities. Read about the LifeResults tools taught during Core.

  • Core is a safe space for sharing and learning from one another. It is an opportunity to step out of our comfort zones and explore what’s possible in our lives.

Friday Evening: First Steps into Awareness

Saturday: Diving Deep with Tools for Change

Sunday: Bringing It All Together

There are only two ways things in life can change!

  1. Either everyone else changes what they are doing,

  2. Or I can change what I am doing.

This is powerful learning... to get more of what I want, I must figure out what *I* need to do - instead of focusing on what I *want* others to do.

  • What I Wanted from Life
At one point, I found myself at a crossroads after a heartbreaking divorce. I spent five years navigating through anger and searching for a way to heal. I tried everything—running, praying, leaning on friends, and shedding countless tears—but nothing seemed to bring me closer to the mom I wanted to be for my two wonderful daughters. One day, while venting to a friend over lunch, he mentioned a class he’d recently taken and thought it might help me. Though skeptical, I decided to trust him and his advice. At that point, I had nothing to lose and everything to gain—and I’m so grateful I took that leap.

What I Got Out of the Experience
That journey taught me something life-changing: I am the only one in charge of my thoughts, words, and actions. While I could wish endlessly for others to change, the real shift had to come from within. I had to take a hard, honest look at myself and ask, “What am I going to do differently when faced with life’s challenges?” It wasn’t easy, but it was empowering, and it completely reframed how I approach situations.

    What I’m Working on Now
Although I’ve made tremendous progress since starting this work in 2007, I’m still on the journey. I focus daily on strategies to quiet thoughts of perfection, judgment, and righteousness. When life throws curveballs, I’m much quicker at recognizing my reactions and shifting to thoughtful responses instead. Growth is ongoing, but the peace it brings is worth every step.

    About Me
I’m a proud member of the Rochester-area educational community, having served as both a teacher and principal. These days, I enjoy teaching educational leadership courses at the university level and coaching local leaders. Outside of work, I’m an avid reader, passionate traveler, and enthusiastic game player. I’ve recently walked two Caminos and Hadrian’s Wall—experiences that filled my soul. Most importantly, I’m the proud mom of two inspiring daughters, both of whom have followed their own paths into education.

  • What I wanted from LifeResults: I saw a mentor in my career who was always calm, always so tactful. I thought she was born with it, but then I found out that she had done personal growth work to achieve it. I wanted that for myself. I was starting out in my career and in my relationship, and saw a glimmer of how much better my life could be if I had those same skills.

What I got out of my experience: I discovered that I was rushing through life, letting my emotions run the show and not always regarding others in my decisions. I learned tools to help me slow down, manage my emotions and find more empathy. After a decade of practicing these tools, I am always working to improve and I have a keen awareness of my emotions, an intentionality around (most of) my time and I've unlocked my deeply caring nature.

What I'm working on now: In 2025 I'm working on listening to my intuition. I want to build the same awareness around my own intuition as I've built with my emotional awareness. I am always looking to apply my tools to help me manage my ADHD and continue growing in my relationships.

About me: My LifeResults tools help me be the best mother, wife and coworker I can be. I live with my husband, first-grade daughter and two cats in East Rochester. I am a leader at a tourism marketing agency by day, and in my free time I enjoy playing clarinet, practicing yoga and ballet and traveling.
